M.R. Hume

Writer, Poet, Creative Procrastinator

Welcome

Come in and make yourself at home. If you're not already relaxing, then might I suggest you pour yourself a glass of your favourite tipple, sit down in an easy chair and browse the site at your leisure.

My full time job is being a husband, father, and working at a UK university. But my spare time (the little of it that I can find), is often taken up with writing (obviously), listening to music, gaming, and watching (quality) TV.
I began writing as a teenager, initially songs and lyrics for the various bands I was in, and then progressing to poetry (sometimes really bad poetry), and nspired by some of my favourite authors I began writing short stories as well.

You could say I am old to writing, yet new to publishing, as with the ease of being able to publish e-books these days, I have begun doing just that. Aging at an exponential rate, I am still a child, out of kilter with time and place. I am inspired by myth, woodland, yeast fermentation, shilly-shallying, and cats!

With any of my writing I hope that the reader comes with a positive attitude and open mind, and leaves with a little more enjoyment in their life.
